The culture and conversation about food keeps growing, but with today’s fast-paced world, not enough attention is given to the actual process of eating and preparing food, and let’s face it –  food tastes better when it’s cooked with love! We hear the word mindful often these days. Mindfulness is simply the presence of mind or awareness, in whatever we are doing, but what does it mean to eat mindfully? Learn how cooking can be experienced as a meditative practice and the benefits and aspects of mindful eating. Engage with an interesting experiment about how mindfulness affects our experience of flavour, and you’ll have the chance to get your taste buds onto some delicious mindfully-prepared goodies!! We will also look at where mindful eating has existed amongst different cultures over the centuries, and how food is shared and prepared in ritual and ceremony.
